We recently painted the drywall in our future nursery. The paint is now cracking and looks like reptile skin. The primer and topcoats are compatible, we think we did not let the first coat dry before we painted the next. The crackling is getting worse everyday. We have tried to add another coat but the cracks still come through. What can we do to fix the paint on drywall? Do we strip or sand then repaint?

Ok, my uncle started to re-due my grandma’s house shortly before he moved out, well when my grandma passed away my mom bought the house, now I need to know how to finish doing what he started. So he started to hang drywall, and it’s basically finished, but around the windows there is no installation, and no framing, how do I securely install all of this? I can’t find anything on it, also is there a certain type of paint or finish you have to put on drywall before you can paint, and everything else, Thanks!

I had rain come in thru my windows with tropical storm faye. the builder said they will fix it, but they want to caulk the outside windows and repaint the inside walls where the paint ran down with all the water. They detected mold with a meter of some sort. Gave me a dehumidfier and larger blower and said the mold will dry up and go away. Is this true or do I need to remove the dryall all together?

We have an old house with old water pipes and wiring – it wouldn’t be very smart to drywall over all of that in case something breaks and we need to get to it. I am wanting to fix up our basement good enough for a play room for our kids – I can paint the walls and put carpet down, but I don’t know how to hide all the stuff on the ceiling!!I also have a very limited budget to work with!! Help!!

Here is the deal, my mom’s living room does not have drywall. It appears the inside walls are concrete of some type. When painted the idiots did not use a sealer resuting in the paint now peeling off to the bare concrete. Do i need to remove all of the paint ? Or can i use drywall compound and feather it to cover these areas then prime then paint? I really need some help here.

I had a fire in one of my rental units and now have some smoke damage on the drywall throughout most of the house. It is just a thin film of black and in some spots wipes off. Some spots are totally black. Can a painting or fire restoration type professional tell me how to cover and seal this ?? The smell is minimal but I worry about the black bleeding through. Sould I clean then paint ??

So far, no luck with the typical wallpaper methods. The adhesive seems bonded to the paint and either will not budge or takes the drywall paper too. I am hoping that there is a usable solvent to deal with the PEEL-N-STICK adhesive.
