James K asked:
I’m debating on fixing the plaster and painting but it seems like someone has tried this before I bought the house, with bad results. It would definately be the easiest way to go. The other option I thought of was just drywalling over the plaster (walls and cieling) but wasn’t sure if this would have repercussions later on. Thoughts?
Thanks

I need drywall hung and taped for my room addition. I know there will be a lot of variables that go into the price but i was wondering if there was something of a standard price. I had a painter tell me that painting is about 2 a square foot plus or minus. Is there a set price for drywall fer square foot or sheet? thanks!!!

Looking to remodel in Cleveland. We need all new drywall, mud (of coarse) and paint. we were thinking about using a different guy for the paint, so if possible, I would like the drywall and paint figures separate. Thanks.

We are in the process of having new floors and painting done. EVERYTHING in the house is covered in white powder from the drywall cutting and sanding. Is there something that cleams this stuff off without having to clean it several times?

After patching and sanding a small area of drywall, it will be shiny and noticeable after painting. How do I texture it to blend in with the rest of the wall?

Yolani asked:
Due to poor planning, the previous owners vented a dryer into a garage instead of the outdoors. (We have since corrected this problem and it vents outside now.) The ensuing moisture and condensation caused the paint to come away from the drywall on the garage ceiling. I have scraped the loose paint off and am down to bare drywall. Is there anything special I need to apply to the drywall before I paint?

I am trying to repair some cracks in my drywall and it keeps cracking after it drys. Am I putting it on too thin?
I did tape it first, but the joint compound is getting a ***** after it drys??? Any clues?
It is a ***** repair around doors and windows. I am letting another coat dry right now, hope that this is the last one. Just am getting frustrated, I want to get on with my painting!

I used a good primer on my new drywall and a good quality paint over that. The paint now completely dry is peeling off whenever it’s touched. It’s getting very frustrating. What am I doing wrong?
