What’s a reasonable price for drywall installation in Milwaukee, WI area?
Tuesday, September 15th, 2009augen blich asked:
I’m currently soliciting bids to have some drywall installed in a house that I just bought. I need 4 rooms done; drywall installed, taped, sanded, finished. Everything, but I purchase and deliver the materials and paint it when finished. I probably want smooth finish walls instead of textured, unless textured is cheaper.

What can I expect to pay? Do the installers charge by the sheet, or the square foot?
What kind of questions should I be asking the guys who bid on the job, to help me select the right one?
What kind of problems might I encounter in this type of job, that I can watch for and try to prevent?
Thanks a lot for whatever advice you give me!

How do I price a drywall job for a residential builder?
Friday, September 11th, 2009Potential asked:
I’m not sure if it’s a certain amount of cents per square foot or if it is a couple of dollars per sheet. I really need to figure this out, I have a contract lined up and I’m kinda new at all this. I don’t know how much to charge my client without sounding too cheap or expensive!

How much should I pay for drywall labor?
Thursday, December 11th, 2008TracyTracer asked:
I’m going to be remodeling part of my house and was wondering how much I should expect to pay for labor to drywall and apply texture to the walls? Any contractors out there that can give me an estimate? Are they payed by the hour, square foot…? I live in Minnesota if that makes any difference. Thanks for your help.
