Inform the police to have him escorted away. You will get your message through and the police department will be aware of the problem and will probably check the dumpsters every once and a while.

Contact a local church or homeless shelter FIRST to find out if they can take in or help these people. Then, gently introduce them to each other....let the homeless shelter take it from there. Arrange the time for them to meet at the same time these folks show up each day to take residence in your dumpsters. That way, you won't have any guilt about throwing someone out on the street completely, and you will probably be allowing them an opportunity to better their situations through organizations who already know how to deal with such problems. You are to be commmended for your concern for them....most people would just call the police and have them hauled off for vagrancy....you seem to really care about them. Congrats on being one of the few who do these days!

If you just cannot find any church or other agency in your area who will take the time to meet these people, I would suggest the Salvation Army or any organization you can find on the Net who deal one on one with the homeless. I know from experience in my own hometown, the Salvation Army at LEAST allows them to sleep overnight, have a meal and a shower, before putting them back on the street during the day. A rough deal for everyone....and seeing more and more more if it everyday. Some churches may not want their members exposed to these people without some type of protection there with them, like a policeman.....others are more flexible.....just depends on the organization you find, and what their own rules are concerning handling situations like this. Most ministers are protective of their flock and would not want to put their members into ANY type of situation that could be any form of danger or threat to them.
So, using the professional organizations would probably be best.

~You could always put it inside a secure enclosure or keep it closed and locked, giving the trash collectors a key. If that is too much bother or expense, then you're really not all that concerned. That being the case, call the police whenever he chooses to find shelter in your garbage. If he's rousted often enough, he'll find somewhere more humane and sympathetic to sleep.

Your concern isn't his well-being, it's your own liability. Talk to your lawyer about the best way to avoid that. Knowing he's using it and not doing anything to make it inaccessible to him could well cost you your business when he gets mangled in the compacter.

Tell him that he needs to find another place to sleep because your concerned about him getting hurt. If he doesn't consider the situation then tell him that you will have to get the police involved.
It's your lose if you end up getting sued.

Possible put a waver of liability sign on the exterior of the dumpster...and cross your fingers he can read. Otherwise hire a cheap hitman... the market is saturated at the moment so you can get a good deal on offing him somewhere away from your building

Leave a sign on it that says that it has been sprayed with poison and is toxic and could cause death. Maybe he will decide to relocate
