I think it’s just plain gross.
I looked all over this site and could not find anything. Why do you think there is an actual word for dumpster stench? I am curious.
I have done a fair amount of serious answer-looking regarding stinky Dumpsters, and though I see that Dumpster must be a patented word, and so capitalized, I can’t find a serious word for just Dumpster smells, even at sites devoted to expert-sounding Dumpster smell-elimination discussion (and, of course, sales).
My old dictionary just gives up words like:
putrid
putrescence = the state of being putrid
cadaverine (don’t want to think about it)
malodorous
fetid
rotten
–Any more are complete unknowns to me, or simple words like some I put here; too generic. And you may have to admit, if even Dumpster experts don’t know this word–
Well ….overpowering stench was enough to bring that
bad smell to my consciousness.
Banning amateur comedic attempts put me out.
