Where does the term dipsty dumpster come from?

I’ve lived from one coast to the other and somewhere along the lines I’ve picked up the term dipsty dumpster referring to a garbage dumpster. My assumption is it came from the East Coast. Now living in Texas, I know no one, except my family and I, who uses nor understands this term.

   It’s actually Dempsey Dumpster for the original company to make them

   I live on the east coast and I’ve never heard it. It’s also not on urbandictionary.com, so I’d say whoever told you about it is pulling your leg.

   It’s actually Dempsey Dumpster. It is the brand name that originated the term Dumpster.
